Hi Shelagh Was that tynemouth in the background? hardy souls up your part of the world! Rob took Mark up to Berwick he was there at 7am and he said it was freezing!! No rocky the parrot is from Warwickshire where we live, I parrot sit when they are away, the dog callan ( a chow) was also very unsettled, I thought i was dreaming when the bed shook, weird sensation it sounded like a boom, your etched glass window looks lovely, as for hamsters we have had 3 in the past, diehard, jett and harry, pearls face is a treat! take care joan
Hope Mark settles ok in Berwick , is it his first job away from home , I wonder how you are feeling , I can't quite imagine it . It wasn't that cold here this morning but then Berwick is that much nearer Scotland .... My friend in Wiltshire has a parrot who talks very condescendingly at her two cats , great fun . Anyway hope you re ok until your first trip to visit Mark .....I'm sure it wont be long .
Hi Shelagh Mark well travelled for a 24 yr old, he hasnt been away for 2 yrs tho (g/friend) hes worked in I O W, Wisconsin (summer camp) Lake district, Somerset, and Greece (only stayed 3 months there, didnt like the food and the same g/friend wanted him back home!) so he knew is feet started itching again, and he was offered asst sports manager, told the g/friend he was off! yes miss him, I get empty nest syndrome (you will experience that Shelagh) we will go and see him maybe June, unfortunately I really dont like travelling in a car, It scares me, irrational fear, so its a daunting thing for me, like your migraines nobody really understands what you go through! I have a heart condition so supposed to minimise stress levels! Your pics are great, and have a good w/kend, dont forget its mums day so chill on Sunday take care joan
I understand all too well about car travel . Im fine if driving but am a terrible passenger . have been known to get the train even when the car was going with the rest of the family ! Horrible .....I can be a nightmare .....
When we had hamsters one of our cats, Norah, would sit and watch them like they were a TV show. Never-ending entertainment for the cat but I felt kind of sorry for the hamster!
Newcastle upon Tyne, North Tyneside, United Kingdom
I live near the sea , with two people and several cats all of whom feature prominently on the blog . I have an enduring interest in food and find it hard to stop writing . I work some hours in a Day Job and write reports on my Laptop but much prefer developing my cat minding business and other stuff . I read several books a week and used to like ordering mini pound puppies on e bay for the cats . I have however moved on . My nephew is called Harvey . My sister is one of the beautiful people ( her words ).She likes voles. She and my partner share an interest in Tidiness. We have recently had a greyhound move in with us . Her name is Alice .
